abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: Toner having excellent heat-resistant storage stability and low-temperature fixability and obtaining high image quality, an efficient production method thereof, and a developer and toner containing the toner capable of improving image quality Provision of container, process cartridge, image forming apparatus and image forming method. An active hydrogen group-containing compound and a polymer capable of reacting with the active hydrogen group-containing compound are reacted to produce an adhesive base material in an aqueous medium, and are obtained in the form of particles. The toner has a content of a component having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of less than 1,000 in a molecular weight distribution by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) of a tetrahydrofuran (THF) soluble content of 8 to 28% by mass. A mode in which the molecular weight distribution curve has at least one peak between weight average molecular weights (Mw) 3,500 to 8,000, a mode including a fixing aid, and the like are preferable.
