PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating a hollow article with an aluminide. An aluminide coating (56, 60) provides an article (30) having a hollow interior (42) and an access opening to the hollow interior (42), through which the aluminide is applied to the hollow interior (42). On the hollow article (30), by placing a coating tape (62) and subjecting the hollow article (30) to vapor phase aluminide treatment using an external aluminum vapor source in addition to the aluminide coating tape (62).
