PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold cleaning method which is excellent in cleanability and safety and suitable for a mold for molding a glass container. A method of cleaning a mold by a mold cleaning apparatus having a vibration device and an energization device for an electrolytic cleaning liquid, and for energizing the electrolytic cleaning liquid by using the energization device and electrolytically cleaning the mold. An electrolytic cleaning process and a vibration cleaning process for applying ultrasonic vibration to the mold via the electrolytic cleaning liquid using a vibration device are provided, and the electrolytic cleaning process and the vibration cleaning process are substantially performed.
