The novel compound of the present invention is a chromone derivative compound represented by the formula (I). In the formula, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 each represent a hydrogen atom, or R 1 and R 2 together represent a bond, or R 2 and R 3 together represent a bond. The compound of the general formula (I) has an NO production inhibitory activity and an activity of suppressing mRNA expression of iNOS, interleukin-1β, interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α, and is used as an anti-inflammatory agent and an antiallergic agent.
