abstract | A manufacturing apparatus having a novel configuration for forming a functional substrate on which a dot pattern of a solution containing a functional material is formed is provided. An ejecting head 11 for ejecting a solution 56 onto a base 14 and an information input means 20 for inputting information to the ejecting head 11 are provided. The ejecting head 11 is mounted on a holding means 22 and the base 14 is mounted. The solution 56 is sprayed to a desired position of the substrate 14 based on the information input by the information input means 20. Further, the laser beam irradiation unit 23 is mounted on the holding unit 22, the solution 56 is applied to the surface 14 a of the base 14 along the locus of the laser beam, and the laser beam irradiation head unit 23 is attached to the laser beam irradiation head unit 23. It is attached to the carriage 12 so that the distance L between the laser beam emitting surface 23e provided and the surface 14a of the base 14 is larger than the laser spot diameter of the laser light irradiated on the surface 14a of the base 14.
