titleOfInvention Planar probe manufacturing method and planar probe
abstract An optical recording medium is effectively reduced or prevented from being damaged by a "protective wall protecting a light-transmitting protrusion of a flat probe". One or more minute light-transmitting protrusions 11 having a flat top portion and one or more protective walls 12 surrounding the one or more light-transmitting protrusions are formed on the surface of the light-transmitting substrate 10a. A planar probe that is formed as a surface shape of the translucent substrate 10a and generates near-field light L0 in the vicinity of the top of the translucent protrusion 11, and the protective wall 12 is substantially from the plate surface of the translucent substrate 10a. The side wall surface rises vertically, and the edge of the top surface is chamfered. [Selection] Figure 1
