abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a through-hole serving as a nozzle communication path because a flow path plate is formed of a silicon substrate, so that an extremely expensive etching apparatus is required and the cost is increased. SOLUTION: A nozzle 1 that discharges droplets, a pressure chamber 2 that communicates with the nozzle 1, a vibration plate 3 that forms at least a part of a wall surface of the pressure chamber 2, and the pressure chamber 2 through the vibration plate 3. The piezoelectric element 4 for pressurizing the liquid inside and the common liquid chamber 8 for supplying the liquid to the plurality of pressure chambers 2 are provided, and the partition 12 and the diaphragm 3 between the pressure chambers 2 and 2 are made of the same metal. By forming the diaphragm member 13 as a member, the pressure chamber 2 and the diaphragm 3 can be formed using a simple construction method, and the cost of the head can be reduced.
