abstract | An epoxy resin molding material for sealing that gives a good package appearance to a thin package, and an electronic component device including an element sealed thereby. SOLUTION: (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a curing agent, (C) an oxidized polymer of at least one of ethylene and propylene having a weight average molecular weight of 4000 or more and a penetration of greater than 2. At least one of the copolymers, (D) a compound obtained by esterifying a copolymer of an α-olefin having 5 to 30 carbon atoms and maleic anhydride with a monohydric alcohol having 5 to 25 carbon atoms, is an essential component.
