titleOfInvention | Method for suppressing protein expression in local region of living body and apparatus system thereof |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing expression of a target protein in a local region of a living body by a simple method and an apparatus system therefor. The present invention succeeds in remarkably suppressing only the expression of a target protein in a local region by introducing an siRNA into a cell by applying an electric pulse to a brain-limited region. By combining two kinds of pulses, ie, a cell membrane perforation pulse and an intracellular introduction pulse, siRNA can be introduced into the cell even with a relatively weak voltage, and damage to the living body can be reduced. No pathological changes were observed in the tissues into which siRNA was introduced, and no influence on the expression of proteins other than the target protein was observed. The present invention can be applied not only to gene function analysis but also to treatment. [Selection] Figure 2 |
