titleOfInvention | Plastic decomposition / recovery method and polymer |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing / recovering plastic which can be reacted under mild conditions without requiring high energy such as high temperature and high pressure to decompose plastic and recover it as a reusable polymer. The present invention relates to a method for decomposing and recovering a plastic produced from a raw material containing a polyhydric alcohol and an organic acid. The plastic is decomposed in a solvent by reacting with an oxidant and a catalyst. Under mild conditions, the plastic can be broken down into reactive polymers and recovered.
