titleOfInvention Carbon-doped titanium oxide and method for producing the same, photocatalyst, and method for oxidizing organic compound using the catalyst
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide another element-doped titanium oxide capable of exhibiting high catalytic activity even with visible light on the long wavelength side, a method for producing the same, and a highly active photocatalyst. The carbon-doped titanium oxide of the present invention has titanium atoms doped with carbon atoms. The carbon atoms are preferably doped as carbonate ions. The carbon-doped titanium oxide of the present invention can be produced by firing a mixture of a titanium compound having an oxygen atom and a carbon source. The method for oxidizing an organic compound of the present invention is based on the presence of a photocatalyst composed of carbon-doped titanium oxide in which carbon atoms are doped in titanium oxide, and the organic compound having an oxidizable site is irradiated with molecular oxygen or peroxide under light irradiation. It is characterized by oxidation. [Selection figure] None
