PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a method for producing an efficient cyclic urethane from a cyclic amine and carbon dioxide, in particular, a reaction time of several hours or more is required in order to obtain a sufficient yield in the conventional method. Provided is a method for producing a cyclic urethane with a significantly reduced time. A method for producing a cyclic urethane by reacting a cyclic amine and carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst, comprising an onium salt solvent, an N-lower alkyl, and an N'-alkyl-imidazolium salt system as a reaction medium. At least one selected from a solvent and a pyridinium salt solvent is used. [Selection figure] None |
