titleOfInvention | Lubricant supply device, process cartridge, device unit, and image forming apparatus |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply a lubricant onto an image carrier even when the characteristics of the developer fluctuate with time and a background stain occurs on the image carrier, thereby causing image quality deterioration and toner filming. The present invention provides a lubricant supply device, a process cartridge, an apparatus unit, and an image forming apparatus that are free from defects such as the above. A lubricant supply device 10 according to the present invention includes a lubricant supply member 11 that supplies a lubricant onto an image carrier 1. The lubricant supply member 11 varies the supply force for supplying the lubricant onto the image carrier 1 according to the toner adhesion amount on the background portion on the image carrier 1.
