abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a mixed polymer substrate by processing a mixture without excessive gelation or aggregation of doped polyaniline particles. The present invention is a conductive polyimide base substrate comprising at least a polymer mixture of a polyimide component and a polyaniline component, wherein the polyaniline component comprises: a) present in weight percent in the range of values from 5 to 60 of the total substrate; b) derived from a liquid dispersion of doped or undoped polyaniline particles having an average particle size ranging from 0.5 to 5 microns; i) surface electrical resistivity in the range of values from 10,000 to 10 14 ohms per square; ii) surface gloss in the range of values from 70 to 120; iii) a surface roughness Ra value (micron) of 0.05 to 0.15, Providing at least one substrate surface.
