PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activatable and bioactive implantable medical device and method of use thereof. The medical device of the present invention is a medical device such as a vascular occlusion device or the like, wherein the device is placed at the top with a formulation that stimulates the production of various vascular endothelial growth factors. A support element, and a coating of the outer barrier, wherein the coating of the outer barrier is a solution of the formulation and bodily fluid until the outer barrier is dissolved by supplying a constant external material to the outer barrier.
