titleOfInvention | Electrochemical display device |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical display device capable of stabilizing an oxidation-reduction reaction at an electrode on the counter electrode side and realizing a sufficient display quality from the first cycle. An electrolyte is disposed between a first electrode made of ITO and a second electrode made of platinum. The electrolyte 13 includes a silver ion as a first redox material that precipitates and dissolves by a redox reaction, and a viologen derivative or a styryl compound as a second redox material that performs a redox reaction different from the first redox material. Including. The redox reaction paired with the precipitation and dissolution of silver ions is stably performed by the second redox material. The second redox material is not limited to a material that changes color due to the redox reaction, and may be a material that does not change color. In particular, a color-changing material is preferable because it can increase the response speed, increase the coloring efficiency with a small amount of injected charge, and can finely adjust the black density and hue.
