titleOfInvention Urethane sponge roll and method for producing the same
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a urethane sponge roll in which only a cell in a roll is expanded and communicated without affecting the cell shape near the surface as much as possible, and an advantageous manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: Using a mold having a molding cavity that gives a roll shape, a urethane foam raw material is foam-molded in a state where a longitudinal rod-like shaft body serving as a roll shaft is concentrically disposed in the molding cavity. When producing a urethane sponge roll formed by forming an open-celled urethane sponge layer with a predetermined thickness around the shaft body, the temperature of the shaft body is made higher than the temperature of the mold, and the foaming is performed. By molding, the cell diameter in the vicinity of the shaft body of the urethane sponge layer was made larger than the cell diameter in the vicinity of the surface layer on the mold side.
