An object of the present invention is to provide a full-length cDNA of a plant and its use. [Solution] 28,694 clones of rice full-length cDNA were isolated. Of these, 21,596 (75.86%) were annotated from the homology search. 18,900 clones (64%) had homology to the gene predicted from the genome sequence of Arabidopsis (27,288). These full-length cDNA clones play important roles in annotation of correct gene coding regions, determination of exons and introns, and comprehensive expression analysis and proteome analysis at the transcription level. In addition, full-length cDNA has industrial utility such as production of a plant having a trait different from the wild type by expression and function suppression in the plant.
