abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transfer efficiency by lowering the surface friction coefficient of an image carrier, and the image quality deteriorates because the toner attached to the image portion of the latent image is peeled off by the scavenging action. An image carrier including at least an organic photoreceptor that forms an electrostatic latent image and having a surface friction coefficient within a range of 0.1 to 0.3, and an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier. The image forming apparatus includes a developing device 2 as an electrostatic developing unit that develops an image using a two-component developer including toner T and carrier C while conveying the toner T with a traveling wave electric field.
