abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip corresponding to an analysis method which does not require labeling with a fluorescent substance, can be measured even in a suspended / opaque state, and is simple in optical axis alignment. SOLUTION: A substrate, a channel disposed on the substrate, an optical waveguide composed of a core and a clad disposed on the substrate, and a part of the core is disposed in a positional relationship in contact with the channel. A microchip in which a flow path is filled with a medium having a refractive index smaller than that of the core, and a light beam propagating through the core is totally reflected at a portion where a part of the core is in contact with the flow path.
