abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a modified alkyleneimine polymer that exhibits high detergency when used with an activator as a builder for a detergent, a detergent, a water treatment agent, a dispersant, etc. A manufacturing method and application are provided. The present invention relates to a modified alkyleneimine polymer having an alkyleneimine structural unit, wherein 0.1 to 20 mol% of the total nitrogen atoms in the polymer is the following (1) or (2): A modified alkyleneimine polymer characterized by having a structure. (1) —CH 2 CH (OH) CH 2 —O—R 1 (2) —CH 2 CH (OH) —R 2 In the formula, R 1 represents an alkyl group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms (which may include an alkyl group). R 2 represents an alkenyl group having 5 to 20 carbon atoms and an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms (which may include an alkyl group). [Selection figure] None
