abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 1-halogeno-2-alkoxynaphthalene derivative and a simple production method thereof. A moiety represented by general formula (3) is obtained by allowing an alcohol derivative represented by general formula (2) and a halogenating agent to act on a compound having a partial structure represented by general formula (1). Convert to compound with structure. [Chemical 1] Furthermore, a 1-halogeno-2-alkoxynaphthalene derivative represented by the general formula (5) is provided.
