abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet having good ink absorptivity, a clear recorded image, particularly suitable for pigment ink, and excellent in gloss. SOLUTION: In an inkjet recording sheet having a gloss developing layer formed by a cast coating method in which a mirror finish is applied by pressing and drying with a heated mirror roll , the gloss developing layer in the cast coating is in a wet state. The above-mentioned ink jet recording sheet is characterized in that the glossy layer contains fumed alumina.
