titleOfInvention | Toner production method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an electrostatic charge image developing toner used in an electrophotographic method or the like by a wet method, any synthetic resin that can be melted by heating can be used. Easily produce toner particles that are uniform in particle shape and size and excellent in performance as an electrostatic charge image developing toner in water, without the use of organic solvents or synthetic resin monomers that adversely affect performance and shape. Manufacturing efficiently and efficiently. Under heating, a melt-kneaded product containing a synthetic resin and a color pigment and an aqueous medium containing a compound having an acetylene structure as a nonionic surfactant and further containing a sparingly water-soluble and acid-decomposable inorganic dispersant. In this aqueous mixture, synthetic resin particles containing a colorant and having the surface coated with the inorganic dispersant are produced. Further, the pH of the aqueous mixture is adjusted to the acidic side to decompose and remove the inorganic dispersant, and after washing as necessary, the synthetic resin particles are isolated and dried to obtain toner particles.
