PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED To provide a chloroprene rubber adhesive having excellent characteristics as a contact adhesive by blending an alkylphenol resin, but containing formaldehyde derived from an alkylphenol resin. Formaldehyde is considered to be one of the causative substances causing sick house syndrome, and the regulation of its content has been started by the Building Standard Law. SOLUTION: A chloroprene rubber adhesive containing an chloroprene polymer and an alkylphenol resin as an essential component is added with sodium percarbonate to oxidize unreacted formaldehyde in the alkylphenol to maintain formaldehyde content while maintaining adhesive properties.
