titleOfInvention Heart electrical insulation method and system
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical insulation method and system for a heart for treating cardiac arrhythmia by excising the vicinity of pulmonary vein tissue using high frequency energy. The resonant circuit is incorporated into a stent that can be implanted into a pulmonary vein using known cardiac catheterization. When an external high frequency magnetic field is generated at the resonant frequency of the stent, the high frequency energy is re-emitted by the stent toward the conductive tissue in the wall of the pulmonary vein, creating an annular conduction block. The stent can be formed of a biodegradable material so that the stent is finally absorbed. After the ablation process, the stent may be left in place. Repeated excision can be performed with the inserted stent until it is confirmed that the desired lesion has been formed. In addition, the same stent can be used in some cases for several years after insertion if there is a recurrence of a treated arrhythmia or the occurrence of a new arrhythmia, which eliminates the need for invasive procedures in the future.
