titleOfInvention | Toner production method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent safety because a polymerization reaction is less likely to proceed when forming a droplet of a polymerizable monomer composition, and a polymerization initiator quickly absorbs into a droplet of a polymerizable monomer composition. Therefore, the present invention provides a method for producing a toner that does not spread the particle size distribution of toner particles and can suppress the formation of toner particle aggregates. A polymerizable monomer composition containing a polymerizable monomer and a colorant and not containing a polymerization initiator is added to an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, and a dispersion (A) is added. Separately, a polymerization initiator is added to an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer to obtain a dispersion (B). Next, the dispersion (A) and the dispersion (B) are mixed and then heated. Then, a toner is produced by polymerization. [Selection figure] None |
