abstract | 【Task】 Provided is a method for producing a resin having significantly improved transesterification reactivity of a polyphosphonate resin and having excellent optical properties. [Solution] It has an ester compound capable of producing a phosphonic acid residue, an ester compound capable of producing a carbonate residue, and a phosphonic acid residue and a carbonate residue obtained by melt polymerization from a compound capable of producing a divalent phenol residue. A method for producing a resin, which satisfies the following formulas (1) to (3): 1 ≧ (a) / {(a) + (b)} ≧ 0.05 Formula (1) 1.01 <{(c) + (d)} / (e) ≦ 1.50 (2) (D) / (e) ≧ 0.01 Formula (3) (Where (a) is the number of moles of phosphonic acid residues, (b) is the number of moles of carbonate residues, (c) is the number of moles of ester compounds capable of producing phosphonic acid residues, and (d) is the number of carbonate compounds.
