titleOfInvention | Driving method of plasma display panel |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to realize a driving method of a plasma display panel with high luminous efficiency, high luminance, and low power consumption. A plasma display panel having a surface plate on which a plurality of display electrodes are formed of a scanning electrode and a first sustaining electrode and a second sustaining electrode provided adjacent to each other with the scanning electrode interposed therebetween. The first sustain discharge is generated by the potential difference applied between the first sustain electrode 25 and the scan electrode 26, and then the potential difference between the first sustain electrode 25 and the scan electrode 26 is determined. Control is performed to generate a second sustain discharge between the second sustain electrode 27 and the scan electrode 26 to which a small potential difference is applied. [Selection] Figure 1 |
