abstract | Provided is a laser-recording type thermal recording material which is excellent in laser recording aptitude and ground color such as recording sensitivity and excellent in scanner readability of recorded images. A thermosensitive recording comprising a light-absorbing material represented by a specific formula for absorbing laser light and converting it into heat, a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye, and an electron-accepting developer on a support. In the heat-sensitive recording medium provided with the layer, the reflectance of the image portion when irradiated with light having a wavelength of 600 nm or more is 15% or less, and the color difference L * value defined by ISO-5561 of the ground color portion is 85. As described above, the color difference a * value is in the range of -15 to 0 and the color difference b * value is in the range of 0 to 25. [Selection figure] None |
