abstract |
An automatic transmission that is effective in a camera unit such as a film unit with a lens and that is used in a “light control system” that expands a usable light amount range, has little loss of transmitted light due to the system itself, and has a high response speed. An optical element that enables a light dimming system and a camera unit using the optical element are provided. An electromotive force generating element that generates an electromotive force in response to an electromagnetic wave and an optical density changing element that changes an optical density by the electromotive force, and the optical density changing element absorbs a material that changes the optical density.
