PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a toner excellent in chargeability (especially environmental stability). SOLUTION: An aqueous liquid (II) obtained by desolvating an aqueous suspension (I) comprising a resin, an organic solvent, and a calcium inorganic dispersant is extracted in a treatment tank, and the total organic carbon content and the extracted alkali number are extracted. A toner having an extraction total organic carbon amount of 500 ppm or less and an extraction alkali value of 0.5 mgKOH / g or less by adding a colorant at an arbitrary stage.
