abstract |
A method of coating an active reagent solution or suspension on a conductive substrate using a pad printing technique for the purpose of improving production yield. Disclosed is a coating of a metal-containing reagent solution or suspension on a conductive substrate by various pad printing techniques. This results in a pseudocapacitive oxide film, nitride film, carbon nitride film or carbide film having an acceptable surface area suitable for incorporation into an electrolytic capacitor such as one having a tantalum anode. It also provides film thickness uniformity, better adhesion and long-term performance retention when stored at high temperatures with accelerated life testing. [Selection figure] None |
