titleOfInvention | Alkaline zinc primary battery |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primary battery that is excellent in high capacity and high storage maintenance rate without impairing heavy load discharge characteristics and low temperature discharge characteristics in a nickel zinc battery, and capable of suppressing an increase in internal pressure during overdischarge. SOLUTION: The present invention is a positive electrode material composed of a nickel-based compound and manganese dioxide, and uses a positive electrode material containing manganese dioxide in a proportion of 0.5 to 9% by mass with respect to the positive electrode material. The alkaline zinc primary battery has improved heavy load characteristics by setting the ratio of the inner diameter of the cylindrical positive electrode to the outer diameter of 0.63 to 0.68. Moreover, in this invention, it is preferable that the ratio of the theoretical capacity of the said negative electrode and the said positive electrode shall be 0.8-1.0, and the said positive electrode shall contain 1-6 mass% of carbonaceous materials.
