titleOfInvention | Preform for plastic optical member, manufacturing method thereof, and plastic optical fiber |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of bubbles in a plastic optical fiber preform. A core liquid is prepared from MMA and a desired additive to form a core part of a base material. A treatment is performed in which the amount of dissolved oxygen in the core liquid is 2.8 times or less the amount of saturated dissolved oxygen in pure water at the same temperature. (1) An ultrasonic wave having an energy of 1.8 kW ยท s or more per 1 cm 3 of the same core liquid is irradiated for 10 minutes with respect to the dissolved oxygen amount of the core liquid. (2) A reduced pressure treatment is performed for 5 minutes or more under a reduced pressure of 0.005 MPa to 0.03 MPa. (1) By performing any of the treatments (2), it is possible to reduce dissolved oxygen in the core liquid that causes bubbles in the base material. [Selection figure] None |
