abstract |
To provide an ink jet recording medium and an ink jet recording method which have good gloss and high ink absorption performance, have no image blurring over a long period of time, and have excellent light resistance. In an ink jet recording medium having an ink receiving layer on a support, the ink receiving layer includes an acidic group-containing compound having a substituent containing at least a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom and a divalent or higher valence. An ink jet recording medium comprising a complex formed of any of the above metals. And an ink set comprising inks containing yellow, magenta and cyan dyes on the inkjet recording medium, wherein the oxidation potential of the magenta dye and / or cyan dye is from 0.8 V (vs SCE). An ink jet recording method comprising forming an image using a noble ink set for ink jet recording.
