abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent functional components from being lost by volatilization during melt molding, and to fix water-resistant fixed functional components such as catechins kneaded so that the functional components are easily eluted even after washing with water. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a functional molded product having a long-lasting functionality such as antimicrobial property and deodorizing property and a method for producing the same. An antimicrobial or deodorizing functional component (a) selected from the group consisting of catechins, saponins, tea leaf powder and tea leaf extract and a ceramic component (b) are preferably used. In the form of composite particles (X) in which components (a) and (b) are combined, they are blended into the molding resin (Y) and melt-molded to obtain functional molded products such as filaments and films.
