PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a magnetic resonance imaging method as an effective method for noninvasively monitoring a cell transplanted in a living body. However, it is versatile, simple, efficient, for a cell receiving a label. There is a need for a technique that has a small influence and at the same time enables monitoring of the dynamics of the cells in vivo over a long period of time. [Solution] The present invention provides a composition for magnetic labeling of living cells, wherein at least one magnetic resonance contrast agent is contained within an inactivated viral envelope.
