titleOfInvention Battery negative electrode and battery using zinc alloy powder
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new battery negative electrode and battery capable of reducing the amount of hydrogen gas generated in the negative electrode while maintaining or improving the discharge activity of the battery. SOLUTION: Electrolytic solution for negative electrode and zinc alloy powder containing 0.001 to 1% by mass of one or more additive metals selected from the group consisting of Al, Bi, Ca, In, Mg, Pb and Sn , 0.01 to 10% by mass of liquid saturated hydrocarbon or liquid unsaturated hydrocarbon oil with respect to the zinc alloy powder, and more than 0% by mass and 10% by mass or less with respect to the zinc alloy powder. A battery negative electrode containing an amount of strontium hydroxide is proposed. By adding a predetermined amount of strontium hydroxide to liquid saturated hydrocarbon oil or liquid unsaturated hydrocarbon oil, the amount of hydrogen gas generated can be further reduced.
