titleOfInvention Display element
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ED display element capable of high definition and low cost. A display electrode includes a display electrode, a counter electrode having a metal layer provided opposite to the display electrode, and an electrolyte disposed between the electrodes. Has a layer 4 made of conductive or semiconducting fine particles on its surface, and by applying a voltage to both electrodes, the metal is eluted from the metal layer 8 and the surface of the fine particles of the display electrode 1 contains the electrolyte 11. A display element in which metal ions are deposited to display an image. The conductive or semiconductive fine particles are preferably titanium oxide fine particles, and the metal layer is preferably composed of zinc. [Selection] Figure 1
