PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dependence of physical properties of a brush in a lubricant application means by a relatively simple and low-cost configuration, and to ensure control and uniformity of the amount of lubricant applied to a photoreceptor surface. Provided is a lubricant application means. SOLUTION: A rotating photosensitive belt 2 is arranged in contact with the photosensitive belt 2, and a rotatable brush for applying a lubricant to the photosensitive belt 2 is provided, and the brush is always in contact with the lubricant.
