titleOfInvention | Fuel assembly |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed oxide fuel assembly having good nuclear characteristics and excellent in economic efficiency without causing a decrease in the amount of nuclear fuel material loaded in the fuel assembly. A mixed oxide fuel assembly 11b for a boiling water reactor has a uranium oxide fuel rod 1a and a mixed oxide fuel rod 1b. The uranium oxide fuel rod 1a is formed by loading uranium oxide pellets 15a made of uranium oxide into the first cladding tube 6a. The mixed oxide fuel rod 1b is obtained by loading the second cladding tube 6b with mixed oxide pellets 15b made of a mixture of uranium oxide and plutonium oxide. The outer diameter of the second cladding tube 6b is smaller than the outer diameter of the first cladding tube 6a. [Selection] Figure 1 |
