abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alicyclic ketone compound in high yield by oxidizing an alicyclic hydrocarbon compound or an alicyclic alcohol compound with sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid. In a method for producing an alicyclic ketone compound such as 2-adamanta by oxidizing an alicyclic hydrocarbon compound such as adamantane or an alicyclic alcohol compound such as 1-adamantanol with sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid.
