abstract [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for safely and inexpensively using chlorine dioxide having excellent properties as a bactericide. [Solution] Chlorine ions are electrolyzed in a non-diaphragm electrolytic cell at a predetermined voltage or higher. After confirming that acid is generated, chlorine dioxide is generated by the following reaction with hydrochloric acid that is secondarily generated by the reaction between the chloric acid and hydrochloric acid supplied as a stock solution or chlorine generated by electrolysis and water. Confirmed that this method was established. 2HClO 3 + HCl → 2ClO 2 + HClO + H 2 O
