abstract 【Task】 The determination of the presence or absence and type determination of viruses or bacteria contained in a sample can be performed stably and efficiently regardless of the observer. In addition, by using a database created in a geographically distant place, it is possible to quickly identify even new types of bacteria. [Solution] A microscope for observing a sample is equipped with a means for accessing a database storing the names of minute objects such as viruses and preprocessing methods for observing them, imaging conditions, captured image data, etc. The sample is imaged according to the preprocessing method and imaging conditions retrieved from the database using the name of the object as a key, and the minute object in the sample is specified by comparing the image with the image in the database.
