abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be an aromatic useful for a thermoplastic elastomer because it is composed of a soft segment rich in rubber elasticity and a hard segment which is a molecular constrained phase, and is excellent in heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance and mechanical properties in a wide range of hardness. It is to provide an amide block copolymer. SOLUTION: Aromatic amide unit in hard segment; aliphatic poly (oxyalkylene) unit, polyorganosiloxane unit, aliphatic hydrocarbon unit, alicyclic hydrocarbon unit, aliphatic polyester unit, aliphatic polycarbonate in soft segment An aromatic amide block copolymer consisting of units selected from the units and excellent in heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance and mechanical properties, and a method for producing the same were found.
