titleOfInvention | L-Anserine Synthesis Method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new synthesis method capable of providing L-anserine commercially. Starting from phthalyl-L-carnosine, an intermediate in the chemical synthesis of L-carnosine, alkyl esterification, protection by acylation of the nitrogen at the 1-position of the imidazole ring, L-anserine is synthesized by methylation and removal of the acyl group, dephthalylation of the resulting phthalyl-L-anserine alkyl ester and ester hydrolysis.
