abstract |
A method for producing a thiol compound without using hydrogen sulfide is provided. The method for producing a thiol compound according to the present invention comprises a step of reacting an epoxy compound having an epoxy group with a thiocarboxylic acid to effect thiol esterification, and hydrolyzing the thiol ester obtained in the above step to thiol compound. The epoxy compound may have at least two epoxy groups such as polyglycidyl ether or epoxy resin, and the epoxy compound has a molar amount of the epoxy group and the epoxy compound. The ratio with the molar amount of the thiocarboxyl group which thiocarboxylic acid has may be 20 / 80-45 / 55. |
