titleOfInvention | Cutting tools |
abstract | In a conventional cutting tool, there is a problem that chips are attached to grease applied between a tool holder and a slider to cause dirt and galling on a sliding portion, and maintenance must be frequently performed. A cutting tool used under lubricating oil supplied in the form of a mist, comprising a slider 7 as a moving body that is in sliding contact with the tool holder 2, and at least one of the tool holder 2 and the slider 7. By forming a hard carbon coating on the sliding contact surface, the friction at the sliding contact portion is greatly reduced and grease is eliminated to prevent chipping and fouling.
