PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine capable of remarkably enhancing the slidability and wear resistance of a first member and a second member that move relative to each other and improving the durability thereof. SOLUTION: A DLC film is formed on the surface of a balance shaft 24 as a first member, and an aluminum bush 33 is press-fitted into a bearing hole 31 for supporting the balance shaft 24 of a balance bearing 26 as a second member.
